Grande Prairie Storm Home Opener & Fan Festival

Storm hockey is back at Bonnetts Energy Centre! ... and we’re kicking off the season in a BIG way!

Join the Grande Prairie Storm for their 2026–27 Home Opener against the Bonnyville Pontiacs, with a pre-game Fan Festival beginning at 5 pm on the H.A. Rice Plaza and inside The Bowes.

Come early and make a night of it! The Fan Festival will feature:

• Food trucks
• Games & kids activities
• Face painting
• Sign making
• Photo booth
• Storm shooting challenge

... and more, plus a live onsite radio broadcast to get the energy going before puck drop!

Your Grande Prairie Fire Department is also planning to join the festivities with a fire truck for families to check out!

• Fan Festival: 5 p.m.
• Arena Doors: 6 p.m.
• Puck Drop: 7 p.m.

And the action doesn’t stop Friday...  your Grande Prairie Storm and the Bonnyville Pontiacs are back on the ice Saturday, September 19 for game two of Home Opener Weekend!
